Growing up surrounded by Texas wildflowers and summers on the San Marcos River, simplicity and nature were a part of my daily life from a young age.  Helping my mother work in the backyard garden was my first introduction to floristry and, little did I know, the beginning of my love affair with flowers.

In elementary school, I was winning awards for my bold art projects and by high school my love of the creative arts grew even deeper when I was given my first 35 mm film camera and I discovered black and white photography.  When I didn't have a camera around my neck, I was on stage competing in dance and theater competitions.

For the past fourteen years, I have been working as an event producer with clients from around the globe.  My passion for events has led me to work on projects with some of the most recognized brands in the world including NBC, Warner Bros, Mashable, the NBC Winter Olympics, the NFL Super Bowl Experience, SXSW Music, Film and Interactive Festival, and the ABC Kite Festival.

As a freelance designer, I had the pleasure of collaborating with many gifted floral designers including Bows and Arrows in Dallas, The Byrd Collective, The Nouveau Romantics, Petal Pushers and Bird Dog Wedding.  The style of each artist varies dramatically as do their clientele.  Working with these artists provided me with a profound opportunity to sharpen my skills, technique, and find my voice while continuously learning and gaining inspiration.  My work for many of these artists and as a solo designer has been published in online and print publications such as Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, 100 Layer Cake and Love and Lavender.   These extraordinary experiences led me to explore my love and appreciation for design and to open a small floral design studio in order to serve a growing clientele of friends, family and referrals.

Whether it is creating a quick centerpiece from a few foraged flowers, photographing the sky after a daytime shower, or working in the garden, I am truly is happiest when using my hands and mind on a creative project. I bring thoughtful design concepts and an innovative vision fused with meticulous organization and down-to-earth charm.
